An international school is going to open in Ramstein in August 2017. The private school will be operated by the Swiss company SeeLab AB, SBW House of Learning. The House of Learning is one of the most prestigious private educational companies in Switzerland running 15 schools worldwide, including an international school in Neustadt/ Weinstrasse. The international school in Ramstein starts with a preschool and primary school up to 6th grade for children aged 4 to 11 years. The school’s focus is on internationally recognized and established courses and qualifications. Small class sizes with a maximum of 18 students per class are an important part of the school’s program. All-day classes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. are offered. English is the language of instruction with a strong emphasis on German and additional languages. A school fee applies. The school building will be located in Marktstrasse in the center of Ramstein, in the immediate vicinity of the German primary school of the community. The international school will share the gym, schoolyard and cafeteria with the German school. The target group of the international school are employees of international companies in the Ramstein and Kaiserslautern area and their children, NATO and U.S. military members and their families as well as German families that are interested in international qualifications for their children.
